In the Android system, the package name is the ID of each application. After the application is updated, the name, the picture and the interface may be changed. Only the package name can not be changed. For different applications, their package names should be different. Otherwise they will be considered the same applications.
Through this principle, you only need to change the application package name, so that you can install the same application twice or more in your device.

NOTE:we can't clone some apps because they are clone protected like apps using play services,bank apps,apps have auto login through Google play services,etc....
If we try to clone them then they may crash or shows blank screen or force close...
There are so many tools are there to clone apps by changing small changes to package name...
Some apps have options to clone are
1)apkeditor
2)apktool m or apktool
3)apkmodifier
4)mt manager (needs vip) but use mod app
5)App cloner(best but have drawbacks & we can't use clone in other devices)
Etc....
IN APKEDITOR APP
1)click app and select common edit
2)then change package name
And if you want to change app name or icon of app then you can change there and also you can change sdk versions also there
Note:plz change small changes to pkg name
3)save it....
Done clone is ready
IN Apktool M
1)first extract the app
2)click it and select Quick edit
3)and change package name
4)click save Done
IN Apkmodifier
1)open app and select the extracted app
2)now click clone and chane pkg name if u want
3)Now ok clone is done
4)note:must sign the cloned app in apkmodifier after cloning...

This is awesome tool to mod apps but we need premium +add ons to do more things without coding and the output from this is more best then the modded app...
